Hub Guest Account

Hub Guests are persons nominated by the Parent/Guardian of a child who are able to securely sign a child in or out of childcare using the Xplor Hub tablet at childcare centres.

Hub Guests are not able to log in to Home web or Home App; they will only be able to log into the hub at the service.

Hub Guests are not automatically added to the Emergency Contact List on a child's account, Xplor recommends centre's follow their service policy and procedures for authorised pick ups at all times.

Inviting a Hub Guest

Parents are able to invite hub guest to create an account through the Xplor Home App exclusively. To do so:

1. Log into your Xplor Home App

2. Navigate to Account

3. Select Hub Guest

4. Press the + on the top right of the screen

5. Select Next

6. Fill out the Hub Guest details. Note: the below information is required.

  • Email is required and must be in a standard format (ie [email protected])
  • First name is required
  • Last name is required
  • Address is required. 

7. Once completed, select Send Invite

8. Done

Note: The Hub Guest recipient has 24hours to create their account before the email invite expires. 

Creating a Hub Guest Account

Once a Parent or Guardian has invited a Hub Guest, they will be emailed a Welcome invitation that looks like this:

The invitee is to press 'Accept Invite' and will be taken to the below:

Press 'Create Account' and you will be prompted to create a password that is 8 characters in length and includes a capital letter, number and special character. Then press 'Next':

Create a 4 digit Account Pin. This can be used to sign in with your mobile number which you will enter in the next step. Press 'Next':

Enter your mobile number. Press 'Next':

That's it! You have successfully created your Hub Guest Account! You can now use your mobile number and 4 digit Account Pin at the centre's HUB to sign the child in and out of the service.

How to Sign into the HUBS

Hub Guests are able to sign into the centres HUB using a combination of either their email address and password OR mobile number and pin. 

Once signed into the HUB they are able to sign the child/children in and/or out of the centre.

Viewing Hub Guests on the Home App

Parent/Guardians have the ability to view Hub Guests linked to their child's account on their Xplor Home App by navigating as follows:

  1. Sign into your Xplor Home App
  2. Select Account
  3. Select Hub Guest
  4. Done

Through this screen parents/guardians will see a list of invited hub guests, the parent/guardian will be able to clearly see the progression of their invite also.

  • When a hub guest has accepted the invitation, they will have gone through the process to create an account and will have their associated email address displayed underneath their name.
  • Hub guests who have not yet accepted the invitation will be easily identifiable as the text below their name will display how long ago the invitation was sent.

To remove a Hub Guest, Parent/Guardians need to contact their centre admin team.

Office Administrators: Resetting Passwords or Deleting Hub Guest Accounts

There is no way for centres to add a Hub Guest on behalf of a parent/guardian and any emergency contacts that are in the child's profile will not automatically be added as a Hub guest.

Administrators can delete HUB Guests off a child's Profile as follows:

  1. Navigate to Profiles > Children
  2. Select the child
  3. Navigate to the HUB Guest Tab 
  4. Next to the Hub Guest details, under the Actions column, select delete
  5. Done

Administrators can send a HUB Guest a password reset as follows

  1. Navigate toProfiles > Children
  2. Select the child
  3. Navigate to the HUB Guest Tab 
  4. Next to the Hub Guest details, under the Reset Password column, select Reset Password
  5. Done

FAQ's

How can family members/friends sign the child out?

If a person needs to be authorised to sign in/sign out a child, they need to be added either as a Parent/Guardian or a Hub Guest.

  • Hub Guests will need to be added by parents through their app. Instructions on how to do this can be found above, in this article.
  • Parent/Guardian will need an administrator of the service the child is attending to add these profiles. Please head to this article HERE to view how to add a parent/guardian to a child's account.

What is my limit with how many Hub Guests I can add to my account?

There is no limit to the number of Parent/Guardian or Hub Guest accounts that can be linked to the child's profile.

What if the nominated Hub Guest does not have an email address? 

They will need to have an email address linked to create and account and to access the sign in/sign out function on the HUB.
