Xplor is having a scheduled outage on Sunday 29th of April 2018 from 10:00am - 1:00pm AEST. This outage is to allow our development teams to upgrade the Xplor infrastructure to ensure stability.
CCS Provider Transition
Last week, you may have received the government’s call to action to transition your provider registration to CCS.
Xplor is currently running through the software activation and provider transition process with a select group of pilot customers to ensure a smooth transition to CCS for all Xplor childcare providers.
If you have already received your Call to Action from the government, and would like to participate as a pilot customer in our initial trials, please contact Xplor support here: [email protected] and we can help you get started.
Also, watch out for our CCS webinars and communications over the coming months to stay up to date with the latest CCS news. You can also learn more on the Xplor website here.
This Week's Features
Programming & Planning Enhancements
Educators may notice great new changes to the live programming screen in the Xplor Educator Web portal, including:
Xplor is pleased to announce a new draft feature for live programming which allows educators to save live programming posts as a draft which can later be published from the journal screen. Note: Draft posts will not be visible to parents.
To save a post as a draft, click Live Programming > Add > Save as draft. All draft posts are presented with an orange border to show educators that the post will not be published to parents.
To skip the draft step and publish directly to parents, click the "Publish" button instead.
Educators can also set existing posts to draft mode, which will hide the post from parent's view.
Educators can now share their bookmarked observations with other educators to use in their own programming journals.
Any observation that has been bookmarked by an educator will now be visible to other educators in the same service, helping educators conduct live programming together.
Educators can select to now filter bookmarked observations by either "Mine" (That educator's own observations), "All" (All observations from all educators in the service) and "Child Only" (All observations from all educators for the child specified in the top left child selector).
Scheduled Payment Enhancements
Xplor has made a small change to the current "Add" Button, renaming it to "Add One-time Payment".
Xplor is also introducing a new way to generate scheduled payments for the current week, with a new feature called "Generate Payments".
Currently, all scheduled payments for the next week are automatically generated on the Friday of the week prior by Xplor.
However, if users have made changes to parent's billing plans on a Monday of the current week onwards, these changes won't be reflected in the current week's scheduled payments.
The new feature called "Generate Payments" can be found on the top right of the scheduled payments screen.
Upon clicking this button users will be directed to a new screen where they can select a parent or multiple parents to re-generate scheduled payments for the current week based off the parent's billing schedule.
Xplor will be changing our statements that are sent to parents to make them easier to understand, better designed and adding support for CCS related requirements.
New CCMS/CCS Navigation
Over the coming weeks you are going to be seeing some changes to the Xplor menu. This is to facilitate the move to CCS and provide access to both CCS and CCMS in one area of the application.
As well as new menu changes, you will also be seeing new menu items appearing. Don't panic, we will announce each change individually and explain exactly what the change is and how it might impact you.
