How to transfer photos to my computer?

Depending on whether you are using an Apple device (iOS) or Android, there are different steps on how to transfer photos to your computer.

 

Android - Windows

1. Connect your device to your computer with the provided USB cable.

2. On the device, pull down the notification shade and tap on "USB for charging".

3. Tap on Transfer files (MTP)

4. You computer should detect the device immediately. Now you can navigate to your photos located in Redmi 4(or 4X) > Internal storage > DCIM

 

Android - Mac OS

On Mac OS, first download the Android File Transfer app here: https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Once you have downloaded and installed the app, follow Steps 1 to 3 above.

 

 

Apple (iOS) - Windows

1.  Connect your device to your computer with the provided USB cable. Upon detection, you need to "Allow" for the device to connect to your computer.

2. You computer should detect the device immediately. Now you can navigate to your photos located in Device > Internal Storage > DCIM

 

Apple (iOS) - Mac OS

1.  Connect your device to your computer with the provided USB cable. Upon detection, you need to "Trust" for the device to connect to your computer.

2. On your computer, you will need to allow the device to connect by clicking on "Continue".

3. Launch the Photos app and import the desired photos. You have the option to either Import Selected or only Import New Photos

4. Your photos will be stored under the Albums section. Note that if you would like to move your images, you can click and drag from this window to any window in Finder. If you are unable to drag a photo to your computer folder, it is most likely because the photo has not been imported from the device yet.
