[03 July 2017] Release Notes 2.5.1 - Services

Dear Services,

The Xplor product team is pleased to announce the release of Xplor 2.5.1 for Android and iOS.

This release brings with it many bug fixes and stability improvements to ensure all Xplor users continue to have a great experience using the Xplor mobile application.

Please note: this release is not a forced update for users. Xplor recommends that users update to the latest version to improve the stability of the Xplor application.
 
What's new in version 2.5.1:
  1. Introducing long press sign-in for educators. To sign in a child, simply press and hold on the map pin icon next to their name.
  2. Long press sign-in for parents has been optimised to function more quickly.
  3. Videos now play without sound in the child timeline. To watch a video with sound, simply click on the video for more options.
  4. The name of the Learning Outcome will now display against an observation in the timeline.
  5. Date of birth now displays on the child profile.
  6. For educators, all child lists are now sorted with signed-in children at the top.
  7. Multiple images are now displayed on the timeline, just swipe through to reveal more.
  8. Clicking on an image from the read more screen will now trigger a fullscreen image viewer.
  9. The default placeholder image has been changed to an updated design.
  10. Beacon popups are now set to appear every 15 mins after being dismissed. 
  11. Added an option for ‘Soiled Wet’ in the nappies smart list
Bug Fixes
  1. Fixed: Image ratios on Read More making images appear distorted.
  2. Fixed: Back button not working for parents if they have a single child.
  3. Fixed: 'what’s next' not displaying on read more.
  4. Fixed: Issue when attempting to tag multiple children in an observation.
  5. Fixed: Issue when using 'enforce beacon' sign-in for services.

Please remind your educators and parents to update their mobile devices by following the steps below:

iOS: 
  1. Go to your iPhone's home screen and tap on the App Store icon.
  2. After the App Store opens, tap the 'Updates' icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap the 'Update All' button at the top of the screen.

Android:
  1. On your Android smartphone or tablet head to the Google Play Store.
  2. Hit the menu button (3 lines on the top left) which is located at the top right hand side of the screen and then select "My Apps & games".
  3. This menu is where you can see which apps on your device have available updates.
